Located along the scenic Kandy–Nuwara Eliya road, Ramboda Falls is one of Sri Lanka’s most picturesque waterfalls, surrounded by misty hills and lush tea plantations. Standing at approximately 109 meters (358 feet), it is the 11th highest waterfall in the country, created by the Panna Oya River, a tributary of the Kotmale River.
The waterfall descends in three beautiful tiers, offering spectacular views from different vantage points — from roadside lookouts to nature trails that lead closer to its base. The surrounding area, known as Ramboda Pass, is famed for its cool climate, rolling green valleys, and tranquil ambience, making it a popular stop for travelers heading to Nuwara Eliya.
With its thundering cascades, mist-kissed air, and serene highland setting, Ramboda Falls captures the pure, refreshing charm of Sri Lanka’s central hill country — a perfect blend of natural beauty and peaceful retreat.
